Born and raised on Manitoulin Island, Chris is a true Haweater. After pursuing his post-secondary education and exploring city life in Southern Ontario, he realized that nothing compares to the beauty of Manitoulin. He returned to his roots to join the family business in insurance and real estate.
Chris earned his Real Estate License in 1995 and obtained his Broker License in 1998. With deep family ties and extensive knowledge of the region, he understands the local culture and real estate markets inside and out. He believes in giving back to the community, continuing a family tradition through years of service as a firefighter, a member of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary, and past Director and Vice Chair of the Manitoulin Health Centre Board. He actively supports various local organizations, youth sports, and fundraising initiatives.
In 2013, Chris became the Broker of Record for the family brokerage, carrying on a real estate legacy originally established by his father, Jim, in 1967. With Jim now retired, clients can rest assured that they are in excellent hands.
A proud father, Chris enjoys spending quality time with his son and partner amidst the stunning landscapes of Manitoulin. When he’s not working hard in real estate, you might find him fishing, boating, or enjoying time at the cottage. In the winter, he loves hitting the slopes for some thrilling skiing.
