The township of Assiginack, Manitoulin Island, is located a mere 25-minutes from the north-west point of the island, Little Current, and 20-minutes from the southern-west tip, South Baymouth, giving you central access to both the swing bridge, that connects Manitoulin to the mainland, and the Chi-Cheemaun ferry, that travels to Tobermory. The township of Assiginack is home to Manitowaning, the first European settlement on Manitoulin Island, which is found in a charming bay and offers an arrange of attractions.
